About
Raymond J. Mills spent more than 30 years navigating the realities of corporate life. A former Divisional Controller and Technical Auditor with JPMorgan Chase, he built a career in finance, risk, compliance, and data mining while witnessing firsthand the challenges corporate employees face every day.
Ray holds a B.S. in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, and a Master’s in Taxation, giving him both the academic and real-world perspective behind the insights he shares.
After decades in the corporate trenches, Raymond now writes about personal finance, investing, corporate survival tips, productivity , and the lessons learned from a long career inside large organizations. His writing reflects a belief that experience is most valuable when it’s shared, and that the lessons learned along the way can help others navigate their own careers with a little more confidence—and perhaps a little less stress.
Outside of writing, he’s a dog enthusiast, a lifelong reader who appreciates a good dime-store novel, and someone who believes that sometimes the best wisdom comes from the simplest stories. A touch of humor and the ability to laugh at ourselves often go a long way in making sense of life and work—something humorist Mark Twain understood well when he wrote:
“Humor is mankind’s greatest blessing.”
That spirit reinforces the self-aware, reflective tone behind Raymond’s writing and his goal of helping others make sense of the world of work and money.
